 James Groom has acted as legal adviser to Ashe Morgan Winthrop since 2002 and has been Company Secretary since 2007.
He has worked with leading law firms in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom; in private practice; and in a senior corporate role with General Electric.
In the late 1990s, James left private practice to accept the position of Group Company Secretary - and corporate solicitor - at General Electric's Australian head office.
In 2001 James established his own practice, James Groom & Co, with clients ranging from start-ups to established listed companies. His particular focus is corporate and financial services law.
James is a member of several private company boards and speaks regularly on corporate governance matters.
He has degrees in law and arts (first class honours in political science) from the University of Tasmania. |
