 Michael Rothner has been a key influencer in the growth and development of Ashe Morgan Winthrop since joining the company in 1990 when he became a partner. He has been Chief Executive Officer since 2005. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Michael is responsible for the strategic direction and continued expansion of the company’s businesses.
Michael laid the foundations for his career with Ord Minnett, a financial services group.
He brings deep industry knowledge covering the full range of property-related disciplines – from development and construction to financing, joint ventures and funds management in the early 1990’s. He put the company on a national footing by establishing the Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth offices as well as taking the business into its first property offshore transaction.
Michael has driven the company’s expansion into the Australian mezzanine debt market, where it is now a major player; and into direct property investments with interests in developments of more than $1 billion. Michael’s leadership has seen the company’s balance sheet capacity expand significantly.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in economics and finance from the University of New South Wales and is also a fellow member of the Australian Property Institute. In 2005, he also completed a leadership course at the invitation of Havard Business School of Management. |
